A Tesla Cybertruck with a low VIN sold for $400,000 at the Petersen Automotive Museum Gala auction. The new owner will be one of the first to receive delivery of the long-awaited electric pickup truck.
The Tesla Cybertruck was a very hot item at the 29th Petersen Automotive Museum Gala, which took place on October 7. The museum announced the Cybertruck auction one week before the event, so everyone had the opportunity to buy a ticket. The evening was hosted by Jay Leno, the legendary host of NBC's The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. He was one of the first people outside of Tesla who had the opportunity to see and even test drive an early Cybertruck.
The Live Auction started at 8:30pm. The bids quickly increased until it reached $400,000. Ultimately, this turned out to be the highest bid, securing the owner one of the first Cybertrucks to ever be delivered to consumers. This is an amazing event that will go down in automotive history.

The delivery of the first Cybertrucks is a highly anticipated event. Earlier, Elon Musk said that the first deliveries should take place at the end of the third quarter, but this was delayed. Tesla has not yet sent out invitations to the event, which means it will definitely not take place in the coming days. Signs of preparation for the event are already visible, but there are no hints about the date.
At the moment, there is also no information about how soon the auction winner will receive their Cybertruck. As soon as this information becomes available, we will inform you about it. Tesla is expected to first hold an official handover event for the first Cybertrucks. However, there is always the possibility that the won Cybertruck will be the first in history to be delivered to a client.
