Tesla Track Mode V2 for Model 3 Performance Sneak Peek

Tesla held an exclusive sneak peek event for Track Mode V2 for the Dual-Motor Model 3 Performance. The company recently unleashed info about Tesla's Track Mode V2 software update and its Track Package, which concentrates on hardware to improve the efficiency and overall ride of the Model 3 Performance on the tarmac.

Elon Musk shared his thoughts on Twitter about the upcoming update. He called Track Mode V2, "Pretty Cool." However, he also hinted that maybe it was too complicated for some people to use and asked the Tesla community for any suggestion to improve Track Mode V2.

Tesla's Track Mode V2 software update will soon be available. Based on Youtubers, Emelia Hartford and Salomondrin, the update will allow Tesla Model 3 Performance drivers to customize their vehicles for the track. Track Mode V2 enables drivers to tinker with the car's settings, like handling balance, stability assist, and regen braking.

For instance, drivers can turn their cars into full rear-wheel drive or front-wheel drive with Track Mode V2. They can also completely turn off the Model 3's stability assist feature for full control of the vehicle on the track. Although, as always, Tesla prefers that its drivers keep safe, whether on the city streets or the tarmac.

To get the most out of Track Mode V2, Tesla has unveiled its Track Package, which includes the items below. A previous Tesmanian report discussed Tesla's Track Package in further detail.

· 4 x 20" X 9" Zero-G Performance wheels
· 4 x Tesla logo center caps
· 20 x Lug nut covers
· 4 x 245/35ZR20 XL Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires
· 4 x tire pressure sensors
· 1 x front and rear high-performance brake pads
· 1 x track-focused brake fluid

According to YouTuber Emelia Hartford, Tesla invited at least four groups of people to try out its Track Model V2 software and Track Package for the Dual-Motor Model 3 Performance. Based on the reactions of at least Hartford and her fellow car enthusiasts from YouTube Channel Salomondrin, Track Mode V2, and the Tesla Track Package gave them a ride they would never forget from an EV.

For Alejandro from Salomondrin, this was the first time he drove an EV on the track, so it was indeed one memorable experience. "Who would have thought an electric car would be so much fun!" said Alejandro after testing Track Mode V2 with Tesla's Track Package on a Model 3 Performance.

Hartford had her own seemingly mind-blowing experience to share as well. Hartford admitted that she thought EVs would mainly be for city-driving or everyday cars for people. However, Track Mode V2 and its Track Package may have changed her mind.

"Weirdly enough, I see this being the way of the future. And I always thought, sure, EVs--you know--they'll take over the streets and all that. It'll be a great daily," she said.

"But actually being a hardcore car enthusiast and driving it on the track, I never thought that I would grow the appreciation I did in just one day," Hartford concluded.

Hartford and Alejandro's thoughts after testing Track Mode V2 reveal that Tesla vehicles can be fun for car enthusiasts. It also shows that the EV Revolution won't take away the best parts of owning a car--or at least Tesla won't.
