After strong headwinds in Q2, Tesla has restored the level of production and conquered Europe with renewed vigor. Model Y is the best-selling EV in Sweden in June, leaving no chance for competitors.
After a challenging first half of Q2, Tesla's production has begun to recover. Ships loaded with the manufacturer's vehicles were sent to Europe from China and most of them arrived in June. This had a direct impact on registration rates in some European countries. So, Model Y became the best-selling car in Norway, surpassing its competitors by a significant gap.
While sales data for all vehicles in the Swedish market are not yet available, we already have sales data for EVs, thanks to EU-EVs. Tesla handled the huge demand well and delivered 1,877 Model Ys in June, making it the best-selling EV. The closest competitor, Volkswagen ID.4, registered 2.4 times fewer cars, and was in second place with a huge lag. It sold 759 ID.4 units. Kia registered 703 Niros and finished in third place. In fourth place is Skoda Enyaq with 526 sales. Closing out the top 5 is Audi e-Tron with 387 units. It is obvious that Tesla concentrated on the production and delivery of Model Y, as it delivered only 175 Model 3s.

As Tesla CEO Elon Musk previously mentioned, eventually the Model Y will outsell the Model 3 and become the top-selling EV in the world. Judging by the data that we have observed in recent months, this is not far off.
