Tesla Giga Shanghai impresses with its manufacturing and delivery figures, which are growing every month. With the expansion of the factory and the construction of new buildings already underway, Giga Shanghai will be a powerful support for the company's future global growth.

According to recent observations, Giga Shanghai has begun an extensive expansion. A rapidly developing construction of new buildings was noticed on the territory of the factory. In the west, the construction of the third Stamping Shop is underway. It can be noted that new steel structures have just appeared there.

In the center, between the Model Y production building and the parking lot, construction that began a few weeks ago has begun to take shape. At the moment, seven sections of the two-story building have already been built, the purpose of which remains unknown. While some people speculate that it will host the production of Superchargers, others claim that a factory for this production will be built a few miles from Giga Shanghai.

In the north a few weeks ago, behind the parking lot, clearing of the territory also began. There is not much activity there now, but assessing the changes in the landscape, it seems that the site is also being prepared for construction.

The most interesting observation is the beginning of the preparation of land in the east, where there used to be a watermelon field. Excavators and trucks were seen there removing the earth. According to information from WU WA/YouTube, this site is now owned by Tesla. A farmer who used to grow watermelons in the field said that he spoke with construction personnel, who say that a new factory building will be built here soon.

Giga Shanghai is showing excellent production results, reaching a production capacity of more than 250,000 units in less than one year from the start of mass production. Tesmanian expects Tesla's Chinese factory to be able to produce at least 55,000 vehicles in Q4 2020, which will be a big boost to the company's goal of delivering 500,000 vehicles in 2020.
