Tesla continues to grow steadily in the Indian market. After taking a number of important steps over the past months, the company began testing cars on the roads of the country and the first Model 3 was spotted in Pune, Maharashtra.

In early June, the first three Tesla Model 3s were delivered to India for testing. According to Alisha Sachdev, correspondent of CNBC-TV18 News in Mumbai, more vehicles for the country may already be on the way. Now there are several reports that the first car has been spotted testing on the roads of India.

On June 11, automotive news outlet RushLane shared a video on Twitter of a Deep Blue Metallic Model 3 driving down the road. According to the description, the car was spotted on one of the roads near Pune, Maharashtra state in western India.

A little later, Car Crazy India shared on Instagram a photo of a Model 3 driving directly through the city of Pune. It was the same car that had been previously spotted near the city. Tesla does not waste time and immediately began testing in order to obtain permission to sell cars as soon as possible. According to Indian media reports, Model 3 is expected to begin sales in December 2021.

Earlier it was reported that Tesla had selected the Mumbai prime area to host its first corporate office and store in India. The company has hired a number of senior executives, including a head of human resources, and is continuing to actively recruit staff to support its operations in the country.
