Tesla has made tremendous progress in developing Full Self-Driving (FSD) in the past year. In 2021, the company continued to improve it and made new and impressive headway. FSD has been completely rewritten and around 2,000 beta testers are using it in the real world and an improved version of it will soon be available to the general public. Nevertheless, the currently existing version of FSD, which is available to all Tesla owners, already has a wide range of useful features and makes driving a car easy. At the moment, FSD is sold as a feature to the car, and its cost is $10,000. However, for convenience, Tesla will be offering a subscription option, and this could come as soon as next month.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk, as a person who sees far ahead, realizes that not everyone has the opportunity to purchase FSD, so the company intends to offer its customers a subscription. This step is intended to expand accessibility for those who wish to use FSD. This topic was discussed back in 2020, again at the beginning of 2021, and now Musk has given an update. He said that this long-awaited feature will definitely appear next month.

The FSD subscription service will make this feature more affordable to customers, especially those who do not intend to use it often. With a FSD subscription option, Tesla owners or renters can choose to pay for the feature for a limited time, and when they feel it would be necessary or most helpful. For example, a FSD subscription--perhaps for a short period of time--can help during long trips and traveling.

Aside from the direct benefit to Tesla owners, the company will also benefit significantly from this. Any FSD sales, by full purchase or subscription, will generate ultra-high profits for the company, which will ultimately further bolster its bottom line.
