Cybertruck conquered not only hundreds of thousands of ordinary people, but also famous people who know a lot about car design. Renault concept cars design manager says that Elon Musk's Cybertruck became the reason for his dream to draw a pickup truck.

One of the world's leading automotive designers called Tesla Cybertruck "perfect design." François Leboine, head of the concept car division of the French auto giant Renault, praised Tesla for its striking and revolutionary design at a video conference with Australian journalists.

He notes that there is no better way to make a designer famous and recognizable than to create a very simple, simplified design, which immediately becomes a cult.

“It's very funny because as a design exercise, [the Tesla Cybertruck] is touching the opposites,” he said. “On one hand it's the perfect design exercise to be iconic. Iconic of course for designers is the best because you become immediately recognizable and the world, you're detaching yourself from the world. And there is no better way to make you known and recognized than making a very simple, simplistic design and that is of course immediately iconic.”

Of course, Leboine admits that he most likely would not dare to do something like that. Of course brave, bold and brutal design is the creation of courageous people who, in reality, form fashion trends.

“There is something which is very brutal in this design and that kind of makes me wonder if I could do something like this. If I would accept to go to this very strong and simple iconic design without stopping myself from doing it. "

The designer admits that most likely all of his internal limitations are connected with the fact that he is more European, but this does not prevent him from assessing Cybertruck's style.

"The quantity of material of batteries, of energy, of weight used in to discourage is for me a limit that is difficult to understand. But it's mainly because I'm more European. But in terms of pure stylist, styling exercise, I love it. ”

Leboine said he would like to add a pickup truck to his portfolio. However, the lack of a market in Europe for such cars would mean that the realization of these ambitions is unlikely.

“As a designer, I would love to draw a pick-up,” he said, ”especially a big one. I think it's an old dream of designers, especially if you are European. It's something you don't know, you almost never see the streets."

He says that designers always want to paint something that they never painted, but their dreams do not always become reality.

“Designers always want to draw something they've never drawn. They always dream of working on projects that they don't see every day ... I'd like to make a pick-up of course, but I'm not sure it's in the big plans of Renault at the moment.”

Cybertruck has a very badass design that really evokes emotions. It is very nice to see that even designers from other car manufacturers understand this and acknowledge that it is unrivaled.
