Twitter will introduce a system of different colors for badges of verified accounts. All verified accounts will be manually authenticated before the check activates, for now. The service will be relaunched tentatively next week, according to Elon Musk.
Twitter is going to bring back the account verification system, tentatively next week. The owner of the company, Elon Musk, apologized for the delay. The new system will be significantly transformed to eliminate abuse by unscrupulous people and make the platform a comfortable and safe place for all users. According to the new security protocol, all verified accounts will be manually authenticated before the check activates, explaining that this step, although painful, is necessary.
In addition, the badges themselves, which confirm that the account has passed verification, will also undergo changes. Musk previously mentioned that the platform might offer different colored badges, but did not go into details. On Friday, he said companies would get gold checks, government accounts would get grey, individuals would get blue. Musk clarified that individuals are all people, regardless of whether a person is a celebrity or not. He explained that this decision is based on the fact that the definition of the notability of a person is subjective. However, individuals can have a secondary tiny logo showing they belong to an organization if the organization confirms this.
Sorry for the delay, we’re tentatively launching Verified on Friday next week.

Gold check for companies, grey check for government, blue for individuals (celebrity or not) and all verified accounts will be manually authenticated before check activates.
Painful, but necessary.
All verified individual humans will have same blue check, as boundary of what constitutes “notable” is otherwise too subjective.

Individuals can have secondary tiny logo showing they belong to an org if verified as such by that org.
Longer explanation next week.
Musk did not specify whether the innovation, which will probably be launched on Friday next week, is part of the relaunch of Twitter Blue. However, he promised to give more details about the new verification process at a later date.
