Twitter has introduced updated functionality for Twitter Blue for Business. The changes will help companies create a new type of network right on the platform.

On Monday, Twitter introduced the new Twitter Blue for Business. This is a new way for companies and their affiliates to verify and distinguish themselves on Twitter, which also will help create a uniqueness that cannot be imitated.

The platform said it sees the rollout of Twitter Blue as an opportunity to further develop and spin off companies on Twitter. By following Twitter Blue for Business, a company can link any number of its affiliates, companies, and brands to its account. When they do, affiliated accounts will receive a small badge with their parent company's profile picture next to a blue or gold checkmark, Twitter explained. However, the company also warned that not all features are available on all platforms. Twitter Blue for Business features may change periodically as it keeps improving the service.

By creating this connection, the platform gives companies the ability to create networks within their organizations – on Twitter. Businesses can affiliate their management, brands, support services, employees, or teams. Journalists, sports team players or movie characters can join. Each affiliate will be verified and officially linked to its parent handle based on a list provided by the parent business. Twitter said it would communicate any new criteria, pricing, or processes as they are updated.

This added feature is an incredible moment for businesses to further incorporate their affiliates, businesses, and brands into Twitter's DNA. Going forward, the platform plans to increase the value of this offering to help businesses and their affiliates get the most out of Twitter.

Currently, the platform is testing Blue for Business for a select group of businesses. However, Twitter has promised to roll this out to more businesses who wish to subscribe.
