Tesla has fully entered the Romanian market and now has opened its first official representative office in the country. The local division of the American giant is called Tesla Motors Romania.
In January, Tesla registered its subsidiary in Romania and on February 4 opened an office located in Central Business Park on Calea Șerban Vodă street in Bucharest. Bucharest Mayor Daniel Băluță happily welcomed the electric vehicle manufacturer to the country, writing on Facebook:
“The arrival in District 4 of one of the most innovative companies, a symbol of technological success, confirms the good direction that our community has chosen in recent years. That of massive investments in road infrastructure, economic growth, smart development of the city, relying on the use of innovative technologies to improve our lives and protect the environment."
On December 14, Tesla opened recruitment for a number of positions related to the work of the service center and the store. Initial job listings included: Tesla Advisor, Store Manager, Senior Service Technician, Service Manager, and Service Technician.
In addition, in early January, Tesla updated the list of cities in which Supercharger stations will be built. According to the company's plan, the first charging station will be ready in Q1 2021 in Timișoara. Superchargers are slated to open in Sibiu, Pitești, and Bucharest in Q2 2021. This is further evidence that Tesla is expanding its presence around the world, gradually increasing speed and efforts to accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy.
