After a significant increase in temperatures and thousands of lightning strikes across California, hundreds of wildfires are now burning across the state. Several fires in Northern California have even triggered evacuations.
Lake Berryessa, a popular summer recreation spot in Napa County, looks transformed into a fiery hellscape by the Hennessey Fire. Down south in the Santa Cruz mountains, the damage is already visible in small communities like Bonny Doon, where some homes and tractors are completely burned out.
During this difficult time, Tesla Owners East Bay / Twitter organized an action to help victims of the fires. Tesmanian spoke with the organizer of this donation. @TacosandTeslas / Twitter, who runs the Tesla Owners East Bay social media account, said that the idea to gather donations was spontaneous.
The initial meeting of the club members was canceled due to the wildfires all over the San Francisco Bay Area region. The meeting organizers thought it would be a great idea to ask their Tesla East Bay Owners Club to consider donating and filling their Tesla Frunks with supplies to help fire victims and families who have lost their homes.
The donation was arranged in less than 24 hours. Tesla Owners East Bay supported a local group of marching band students from Benicia High School in the East Bay, 45 minutes east of San Francisco. Members of the club of all ages—parents, grandparents, kids—have joined the donation.🚨 SPONTANEOUS MEETUP 🚨

"We are located only an hour from the wildfires. So we felt moved to support and do what we can during this challenging time," said @TacosandTeslas.
The Tesla community is not just about people enjoying cars. It is a family ready to come to the aid of those in need. And it doesn't matter if you have a Tesla vehicle or other company product; it doesn’t matter what you believe in, nor if you support the Tesla mission. If you need help, the Tesla family is charged up to assist.
If you would like—and are able—to help those affected by the fires, please write a direct message on Twitter to Tesla Owners East Bay.
