The first batch of about 2,000 Tesla Model 3s and Model Ys has docked at a port in Thailand. After preparing the vehicles, deliveries to customers are scheduled for February.

Good news comes from Thailand, where the first official batch of Tesla cars has arrived. This is a much-awaited event, as the Thai have been waiting for the manufacturer to enter their car market for a long time. According to countings made at the port, the shipment consists of about 2,000 Model 3s and Model Ys, slightly higher than the originally planned 1,500 units. This may indicate that the demand in the country is very high and therefore the company is striving to fulfill thousands of orders as quickly as possible. The cars arrived at the port of Laem Chabang. The photos were posted by Fa Ris, a member of EV Club Thailand Group on Facebook on January 19.

On December 7, Tesla was officially launched in Thailand along with the opening of the first store in the country. Yvonne Chan, director of Tesla in Taiwan and South Korea, personally arrived in the country to celebrate this momentous occasion and congratulate local customers. The company held an event and announced the opening of orders for its vehicles. This was incredibly great news, as the Thai have been choosing Tesla cars for a long time, but were forced to buy them not directly from the company, but from local resellers.

In December, local publications reported that the number of orders in the first 48 hours exceeded 5,000 units. The first deliveries were expected in Q1 2023, which is obviously true. It is expected that after the cars are transported to the delivery center and prepared, the first deliveries will take place in early February. A second batch for Thailand is scheduled no later than the middle of the year, according to information received in December. At the moment, when ordering on the company's website, even the expected delivery date is not indicated.
