Tesla Model Y will soon hit the roads of Israel and will be the manufacturer's fourth model in the local market. The electric compact SUV was recently registered with the Israeli Ministry of Transport.
Israel's Ministry of Transport has registered Tesla Model Y to enter the country's roads, according to Calcalist. The American automaker's compact SUV was the only model that has yet to arrive in Israel. Nevertheless, after registration, it is safe to say that Model Y is already on the way and its marketing is expected to begin soon.
The first vehicle to be registered on Israel's roads is a 2021 Tesla Model Y Long Range made in China, according to Ministry of Transport filings. According to the documents, the car has 514 hp and a towing capacity of 1,600 km. The vehicle's safety level is 7, which is high.
Tesla Model Y is the only model of the American manufacturer not currently on sale in Israel. However, after Giga Shanghai started exporting SUVs, this will soon change. According to rumors, the manufacturer's factory in China currently produces 1,000 Model Ys per day, which gives it the ability to partially cover the growing demand. The first batches of the SUV have already arrived in Europe and have had a significant impact on the automotive markets in several countries.
