Tesla Model Y Performance may soon receive the long-awaited Track Mode. Elon Musk wrote that “it's coming,” giving hope for its appearance, although he previously explained that this is difficult to deliver in this model.
Some Tesla Model Y Performance owners dream of their cars having Track Mode, the same as in the Model 3 Performance and Model S Plaid. Even though Tesla Model Y has been in production since 2020, the car still lacks this much-requested feature. Elon Musk has previously said several times that the company is working on this, but explained that Track Mode for Model Y is a much more difficult task than it seems at first glance. Model X, as well as the compact SUV, do not have Track Mode, which may be due to the size, shape, and weight of the car.
However, Musk has not forgotten his promise, as was clear from his recent response to a question about Track Mode. @TeslaGong/Twitter asked if Model Y Performance owners could finally get Track Mode, to which Tesla's CEO replied, “it's coming.”
It’s coming

Track Mode is designed to modify the stability control, traction control, regenerative braking, and cooling systems to increase performance and handling while driving on closed circuit courses. Track Mode improves cornering ability by intelligently using the motors and regenerative and traditional braking systems. When enabled, the cooling system runs at an increased level during and after aggressive driving sessions to allow your vehicle’s systems to withstand the surplus heat.
