Tesla Model Y Includes A Wireless Phone Charger As Standard Feature

Today, the first customers received their Tesla Model Y, which was another pleasant surprise from the company.

But these are not all the amazing things that Tesla decided to please its customers. The company also published the Owner’s Manual for the Model Y. According to it, in addition to functions previously known to us, such as power liftgate, and rear-folding second-row seats, a built-in wireless phone charger appears as standard equipment in the car.

Tesla's wireless phone charger for Model Y can charge Qi-enabled phones with power up to 15 watts. According to the Owner’s Manual, it can charge two phones at the same time, but the power will be shared.

In January, hacker and Tesla enthusiast @greentheonly, digging through the software of the vehicles, found mentions of various updates in the work. One of the most important updates was to introduce the wireless charging of phones for Model S and Model X.

Tesla also recently updated its website to include the wireless phone charger as a standard feature for Model S and Model X.

Now owners of Model Y are among the first to enjoy this convenient feature that will greatly facilitate their life.
