Tesla Model Y became Norway's best-selling car in November, registering nearly three times as many cars as its closest competitor, Volkswagen ID.4.
November was a record month in Norway as EV sales jumped to an impressive 17,056 units, up 33% from the same period last year when 12,852 units were registered, according to elbilstatistikk. Residents of the country continue to massively switch to electric vehicles, contributing to the reduction of the negative impact on the climate. @nasalahe/Twitter has shared more details regarding November sales data.

Tesla Model Y was the best-selling car in November, nearly three times the sales of its closest competitor, Volkswagen ID.4. During the month, 3,225 Model Ys were registered, which accounted for 18.9% of the total number of electric vehicles sold in November. Thus, in 2022, Model Y continues to hold its position as the top-selling vehicle in a market where EV sales far outnumber those of vehicles with any other type of power source. In 2022, there were 12,942 Model Ys registered.
In second place, far behind Tesla, is Volkswagen ID.4 with 1,121 units sold. It also allows the car to hold second place in the overall ranking for eleven months of this year, with 9,759 registrations. In third place in November is BMW iX with 909 units sold. However, in the overall ranking in 2022, the car only ranks fourth. In fourth place in November is VOLVO XC40 with 881 registrations, ranking only eighth in the overall list this year. Rounding out the top 5 is Skoda Enyaq with 664 units sold, solidifying its third position in the 2022 overall rankings.
