Tesla Model S and X have probably already gone through the homologation process in the Asia-Pacific region, which allows cars to enter the roads of the countries of the region. In the next three weeks, the vehicles will be showcased at various locations in Taiwan to raise awareness of the new products among the local population before starting deliveries.

Tesla is once again demonstrating Model S and Model X in its locations in Taiwan. According to information from the DDCAR, they appeared there again after being homologated. This is the only information that indicates that the new products from Tesla have passed the assessment of compliance with all local standards, however it seems that it is true. It is highly likely that homologation has been passed for the entire Asia-Pacific region, which means that the cars can be driven on the roads of the countries in the region, as they meet all local requirements.

On May 3, Tesla announced that it has again started showcasing the updated Model S and Model X in Taiwan, which will last until May 27, that is, three weeks. The vehicles will be on display in various locations: Xinzhuang, Taichung, and Kaohsiung. This will give consumers the opportunity to get a closer look at the updated cars, and the mass of new features present in them before starting deliveries. For example, it was noticed that Model S has a swivel screen, which was a very welcome update.

According to Tesla's plan, the showcasing layout for the new Model S and Model X is as follows:

  • From May 3 to May 27, the Model S will be available for viewing at the Xinbei Xinzhuang Service Experience Center: No. 37, Huacheng Road, Xinzhuang District, New Taipei
  • From May 3 to May 10, Model X Plaid will be available at Taichung Municipal Experience Center: No. 638, Shicheng Road, Xitun District, Taichung City
  • From May 12 to 27 Model X Plaid will be available at Kaohsiung Gushan Service Center: No. 437, Boai 1st Street, Gushan District, Kaohsiung City

Those who want to visit the showroom need to understand that both cars will not appear in each place at the same time. In order to see both Model S and Model X, customers will have to visit different locations.

As of today, there are no details yet on when the ordered Model S and X cars will be delivered to customers in Taiwan, and the vehicles have only been delivered to customers in North America. At the same time, Taiwan became the first country in the world outside of North America to showcase Tesla's new products in showrooms, which may hint that the next market for first deliveries will be the Asia Pacific.
