Tesla Model S and Model X Plaid deliveries to Europe will begin this year, the manufacturer confirmed. Some customers in the region have reported being asked to pay for their purchase, which is the final step before delivery.
Tesla today announced that its Model S received 5 stars in the Euro NCAP safety rating. The car received the highest overall score among all vehicles tested under this protocol. In addition to information about the achievements of the car, the company also talked about upcoming deliveries to Europe. Tesla said that deliveries of the Model S and Model X Plaid to Europe will begin this year. This is the first public official announcement of this highly anticipated event.
In October, several members of a German forum reported receiving calls from Tesla employees. During the conversation, the company's managers clarified whether the configuration of the car remains unchanged. If customers made no changes and agreed to receive delivery in Q4, then Tesla employees agreed on the address, place of delivery, and payment terms. The earliest delivery date was given at the end of November and the latest was in February.
Now, on the local TFF forum, it has been reported that some customers have been asked to pay for the purchase of their Model S and Model X Plaid. As of today, the earliest delivery date is known to is between November 24 and December 4 for Model S Plaid, which will be delivered in Hannover. For Model X Plaid, the earliest known delivery date is November 30 to December 10.
