Tesla Model 3 is the best-selling EV in Spain in 2021 and continues to gain traction. Tesla, selling only one car model, ranked second among all brands, which in most cases sell several different models.
Spain has never been one of the largest markets in Europe for Tesla. Traditionally, Renault and Peugeot, which are made in France, have been the best-selling EVs there. However, this trend, as in France, is beginning to change. In 2021, Tesla Model 3 became the best-selling EV in Spain.
In 2021, Tesla registered 1009 electric vehicles in Spain, 996 of which were Model 3. This makes the car the absolute leader in the EV market. In second place, with a large margin for the Spanish market, is Renault Zoe with 561 registrations. Third place belongs to Kia Niro with 464 sales. In fourth place, with a small margin, was taken by the Seat Mii with 442 registrations. Rounding out the top 5 is the Volkswagen ID.4 with 390 units sold.

Tesla Model 3 alone was able to capture 12.4% of the EV market share, second only to Reno, which sells five different models and yet has only 13.2% of the market. Tesla Model 3 is also superior to Peugeot, which sells eight different EV models, VW, which sells seven different models, and any other manufacturer that sells EVs in the Spanish market.
(The data in the table includes sales of Model X and Model S, 13 units in total, so the total market share is 12.6%)

Tesla is becoming an increasingly popular vehicle in various countries around the world. With the best combination of performance, quality and price, Tesla is the obvious choice. As soon as the production of the Model Y begins in Germany, Tesla's popularity will become even more evident.
