Tesla Model 3 Became The Best-Selling EV In Denmark In March 2020

In March, Tesla became the second best-selling brand in the Danish overall market, and Model 3 became the best-selling car in the country among electric cars.

After the memorable 2019, when PEV sales doubled compared to 2018, sales this year continue to grow to record numbers for the country. Compared to last year, the gasoline car market is in decline, while PEV's share jumped to 12% last month, the new all-time record in Denmark, helping in 2020 to reach 8.5%, more than doubling the share of 2019 years (4.2%).

According to ev-sales, this growth was made possible thanks to the Tesla Model 3, which was sold 728 units last month. This brought it the second "Best Seller" award in the general market in the last 4 months.

With Model 3, the California automaker has emerged as a leader in the plugin category. Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV showed the second record result in three months, but it was able to sell only 223 units. The previous leader VW e-Golf take 3rd place, selling only 78 cars.

In the ranking of manufacturers, Tesla rose to a leading position, removing Kia from the first line. This is what we have already observed and will continue to observe in different countries. Popularity of Tesla cars is growing every day, and the expansion of production capacity and model line will bring the California manufacturer full dominance.
