Tesla may have shown off the design of their new car model in the Engineering HQ video. It can be assumed that this will be a mini crossover or hatchback, which has a very high chance of capturing a huge share of the market.

Tesla announced the California Engineering HQ in Palo Alto on Wednesday. The company's CEO Elon Musk and California Gov. Gavin Newsom met to tour Tesla's new engineering headquarters before making the official announcement, which was streamed live from the company's Twitter account. In connection with this event, the company released a special video, which may have contained extremely important and interesting information.

The 22-minute video posted by Tesla's Twitter account details the company's new engineering headquarters in Palo Alto. It contains information about the design and engineering work of the company, however just for a moment, we can see a table on which lies some interesting drawings of cars. One of the sketches seems familiar to us, as it is very similar to the design that was first shown in 2020 by Tesla China. Others are similar to it and the common feature that unites them is that they look like a smaller hatchback. However, it seems that the ground clearance is quite high, and the car looks more like a mini crossover.

On March 1, at Investor Day, Tesla is preparing to introduce a new generation platform. As company executives have previously explained, the new platform will be released only when the company can achieve a halving of production costs, and can produce twice as many cars at the same time as with the current Model 3/Y platform. Given this, it seems that Tesla already has a clearly marked path to achieve its goal, and the new car model on the new platform could be similar to one of the sketches in the video.
