Tesla Giga Texas is more than doubling its recruitment for Cybertruck production. At the moment, about 80 new jobs have been placed in different workshops, which hints at serious preparations before the start of production.
Last year, Tesla Giga Texas opened the recruitment of employees for the production of Cybertruck, which was an important indicator of progress in this direction. The recruitment for the electric pickup’s production was opened at the beginning of November. First, the company was looking for a Manufacturing Operations Leader for Cybertruck, and other production specialists, all for the Body in White shop. By the end of the month, Gigafactory Texas had expanded its recruitment by adding a larger number of new vacancies in various workshops.
In early March, Tesla was looking for employees for 30 Cybertruck-related positions. It was a doubling compared to the beginning of the year. However, the closer the start of production of the pickup truck, the more the company is stepping up its efforts to find employees for its production.
A recent observation by @SawyerMerritt/Twitter revealed that Giga Texas has opened dozens of job openings in a wide variety of fields. At the moment, their number has increased to 77, with the vast majority needed for manufacturing. Most specialists are required in the Stamping and Body in White (BIW) shops. These are the workshops that will have the most difficult job, because Cybertruck will be produced using the latest technologies never before used in the automotive industry.
NEWS: @Tesla now has 77 Cybertruck related job openings listed on its site, up from 20 in early April. All are located in Austin, Texas and almost all are in the manufacturing category.

According to Elon Musk, the first deliveries of Cybertruck should take place at the end of the year. However, he told investors they should not count on a significant amount of supply, because the increase in production this year will be slow.
