Tesla Giga Shanghai is upgrading part of the production lines until the end of February. The measure is being taken to start production of the updated Model 3 later, according to the report.

Tesla temporarily stopped part of the production at Giga Shanghai in order to upgrade the line. According to Bloomberg sources, this should ease the company's plans to modernize the factory in order to launch an updated version of its Model 3 later. The factory should be launched at full capacity, immediately after completion, which is planned for the end of February.

Over the past two months, Tesla has reportedly upgraded its Model 3 production line at Giga Shanghai in stages. Deliveries of the updated model are expected to begin in late 2023. It should be kept in mind that the company did not confirm the existence of an updated car and the timing of the start of its production. However, Model 3, with its front and back covered, has been repeatedly seen during testing in the wild in the US. This hinted that the car would at least get a facelift, although it seems clear that other, more fundamental changes will be introduced along with it.
