Tesla Giga Berlin launches Model Y in Quicksilver and Midnight Cherry Red colors for true connoisseurs of beauty. Achieving depth in new colors is possible thanks to the newest paint shop that uses unique paint application technologies.
Tesla is releasing Model Y in two new colors. The company has announced that the vehicles, which are only made at Giga Berlin, will now feature Midnight Cherry Red and Quicksilver. As described, Midnight Cherry Red has a dramatic depth that changes with the light to accentuate the graceful curves of Model Y. Dynamic Quicksilver color with a liquid metal effect will give the car an elegant look.
Both colors are made possible by the Giga Berlin paint shop, which has a unique layout and was specifically designed and built to implement Tesla's new colors. During the painting process, up to 13 layers of paint are applied to the car, which gives the surface a unique depth and excellent appearance. Highly pigmented metallic paints provide a special sheen effect that enhances the design of Model Y and allows colors to change depending on the vehicle's angle and lighting.
Model Y in these colors can only be obtained when ordering a car from Giga Berlin. Two new colors are available for both Model Y Performance and Model Y Long Range. Cars painted in Quicksilver, which replaced Midnight Silver, will cost €3,000 more and will be delivered from February to April 2023. Cars painted in Midnight Cherry Red, which replaced Red Multi-Coat, cost €3,200 more and will be delivered between May and July 2023.
In addition, Tesla's CEO Elon Musk has hinted that US-made cars will also get a new color option. It could be possible that he is talking about adding the same colors as for Giga Berlin, or perhaps something new, such as the expected Abyss Blue Multicoat.
