The long wait for Tesla owners is over and now they can become a FSD Beta tester. The button for downloading the software has already become available on the company's cars. The FSD Beta V10.1 update will be distributed tonight.
As promised by Tesla CEO Elon Musk, the button to request the installation of FSD Beta on cars appeared on September 24 late at night. This means that the owners of Tesla vehicles that have FSD or an FSD Subscription can now become a participant in the testing program for the new software, which is much more advanced than the current one. This news was first published by Musk a few hours before the start of the distribution of the update. The head of the company clarified that although the button will appear in cars now, V10.1 will be distributed 24 hours after that, as it requires additional testing.
FSD Beta request button goes live tonight, but FSD 10.1 needs another 24 hours of testing, so out tomorrow night

The release notes tell owners where to find the button and how to activate it:
Request Full Self-Driving Beta
You can now request early access to Full Self-Driving Beta pending eligibility. To get started, tap ‘Controls’> ’Autopilot’> Request Full Self-Driving Beta ’and follow the instructions.
Once the software was distributed, the first happy owners shared their joy at the opportunity. While ordinary people may not understand the real importance of this new opportunity, Tesla car owners who have already used the FSD functions understand the qualitative difference between it and FSD Beta. In fact, already now FSD Beta can take passengers from one place to another with zero driver intervention. However, it should be kept in mind that this does not always and everywhere work very smoothly, so the driver must always be on the alert to intervene if necessary.

With safety in mind, Tesla will only allow the FSD Beta to be installed by those owners who are considered good drivers. After the request is submitted and approved, the system will start assessing the user’s driving style for seven days. After that, Tesla's insurance calculator will show owners the status in real-time and share what actions need to be taken to get a "good driver" rating. Keep in mind that the Tesla insurance calculator will need to be turned on by the car owner. Another important detail is that when the car is in Autopilot mode, the calculator evaluates it as "good."
Since there are currently only about 2,000 beta testers for FSD Beta, it is still a technology that many people do not know about. Although the capabilities of Tesla's new software are truly amazing—as its cars are already capable of delivering passengers with zero driver interventions—it’s not widely known in the public. However, with the more widespread use of FSD Beta, the situation will change. So far, the overwhelming majority of people think that such capabilities are five years out, if not more—but actually, they are already here.
