Tesla is expanding recruitment for the construction of its Gulf Coast Lithium Refinery near Corpus Christi. Several positions are open, and satellite photos show the presence of construction equipment on the site.
Tesla has begun preparations for the construction of the new factory. In early January, a gravel road was filled and a sign was erected with information that Tesla's project would be built there. Later, satellite imagery from Google Maps showed that excavators were already at the site and work had begun.
In November, Tesla opened recruitment for the Area Superintendent and an Area Construction Manager, who will be the key employees in operations related to the construction of the factory. In early January, the company added the position of Project Scheduler. Now Tesmanian has discovered that Tesla has expanded recruitment and added four more jobs related to construction.
The company is looking for Project Controls Specialist, Construction Scheduler, Lead Planner, and Cost Control Manager. As a place of work, the Gulf Coast Lithium Refinery near Corpus Christi is indicated, which means that this will be the name of the new Tesla facility.
Judging by the description of some positions, employees will be involved not only in the construction of Tesla's lithium refinery. The company hints that other facilities will be built, but does not indicate which ones.
“As a Project Controls Analyst at Tesla you will be a part of the infrastructure team in Corpus Christi, TX. Projects include but are not limited to the Gulf Coast Lithium Refinery.”
“As Construction Scheduler you will be playing a critical role in construction of brand new facilities projects in Corpus Christi, TX. These facilities include but are not limited to the Gulf Coast Lithium Refinery.”
