Tesla has presented its customers with a holiday gift: free access to the Enhanced Autopilot for 30 days. At the moment, it is known about its activation in Australia and New Zealand. This will allow the company's customers to enjoy driving with advanced features, and possibly order a full version for themselves.

By the end of 2022, Tesla has prepared gifts for its customers around the world. In addition to offering discounts on the purchase of its vehicles in select countries, a free 10,000-mile charge at Superchargers for new customers, and a Holiday Update for all customers, Tesla is giving away a free 30-day trial of Enhanced Autopilot in Australia and New Zealand. This will make it easier for people in those countries to drive during this period and also help them enjoy the holidays more.

In addition, providing a free 30-day trial of Enhanced Autopilot will familiarize customers with the driver’s assistance system. Ultimately, this may lead some Tesla owners to want to buy this feature. Today, its cost is $6,000. However, it may also encourage some to buy full self-driving (FSD) and pay $15,000.

Enhanced Autopilot is a suite of advanced driver assistance systems that goes beyond the capabilities of standard Autopilot, although it does not offer all the features that owners can get with Tesla FSD beta.

In addition to the functionality and features of Autopilot, Enhanced Autopilot also includes:

  • Navigate on Autopilot: Actively guides your car from a highway’s on-ramp to off-ramp, including suggesting lane changes, navigating interchanges, automatically engaging the turn signal and taking the correct exit.
  • Auto Lane Change: Assists in moving to an adjacent lane on the highway when Autosteer is engaged.
  • Autopark: Helps automatically parallel or perpendicular park your car, with a single touch.
  • Summon: Moves your car in and out of a tight space using the mobile app or key.
  • Smart Summon: Your car will navigate more complex environments and parking spaces, maneuvering around objects as necessary to come find you in a parking lot.
