For those who follow the development of Tesla, it is no secret that the company has achieved success in the development of energy storage systems. In Q2 2020, storage deployments increased sequentially to 419 MWh, driven by increases in both Powerwall and Megapack. This success is facilitated by the deployment of energy businesses around the world, including Europe.

A source familiar with the matter claims that a large shipment of Tesla Powerwall and solar panels arrived in the Netherlands recently. According to the source, over 10,000 Powerwalls and the same amount of solar panels arrived for a large rollout.

At the same time, 60 containers with Powerwalls have arrived in the Netherlands over the past 12 months, according to @VedaPrime/Twitter, who tracks Tesla's shipments and deliveries. This, in turn, accounts for 62% of the total number of shipments worldwide. It should be noted that the Netherlands could simply act as a receiving point, and in the future, Powerwall could then be sent to any country in Europe.

Also, @VedaPrime reports that the largest batch of Megapack that he has ever registered has arrived in the Netherlands. On August 12, he tweeted that 9 Megapacks were shipped to Rotterdam. In addition, at the end of July, three more Megapacks were also seen heading to the Netherlands.
At the beginning of August, Tesmanian reported that some Tesla clients in Germany received an email from the company in which they were asked to take part in a survey. This survey covered the topics of electricity tariffs, electric vehicle charging, solar systems, and home battery storage.

Apparently, the company is preparing a large deployment of Tesla Energy and Tesla Solar in Europe.

Tesla Energy is committed to helping the world move to sustainable energy sources. This segment of Tesla's growth picture may be under appreciated, but it is this special focus that has the power to lift Tesla to trillions of dollars in market capitalization. During the Earnings Call Q2 2020, Tesla CEO Elon Musk noted that overall, the energy sector is larger than the automotive sector. Until now, Tesla Energy has taken a backseat to its automotive division, but Tesla is always striving for growth.

“What Tesla is going to do with their battery packs and software will all of a sudden allow each of us to be in the energy business, as well,” said Social Capital CEO Chamath Palihapitiya.
