Tesla Cybertruck is on exhibition and on display to the public at the Petersen Automotive Museum. The 2019 prototype charms visitors with its “Cyber-fied” charging port and raises questions about whether it will be in the mass-produced pickup trucks.
Cybertruck is an absolutely unique vehicle that challenges the entire automotive industry. Its original origami-style design attracts particularly high attention and provides a huge number of consumers who want to own a pickup truck. Although no official figures are available, tracking services based on customer-provided order numbers show that the number of orders has exceeded one million.
From November 20 to 22, Tesla will have an exhibition at the Petersen Automotive Museum called “Inside Tesla: Supercharging the Electric Revolution.” Tesla vehicle prototypes will be presented there, and the history of the brand will be told, including information about SpaceX and The Boring Co.—other Elon Musk companies with which the history of the manufacturer is intertwined. The museum said Cybertruck will be on display, and the photos it provided hint that it is a 2019 prototype.
One thing that stands out in photographs released by the Petersen Automotive Museum, is the charging port of the electric pickup, which appears to have never been opened to the public before. The photo shows its sophistication, attractiveness and style, as next to the charging port, there is Tesla's special “Cyber-fied” logo, which is highlighted. Many people on Twitter shared their opinion that they would like to see just such a charging port on their Cybertruck.
Here's a fantastic little detail from the Cybertruck prototype that I'm not sure anyone's publicly seen before (it's new to me, anyway!): the @Tesla 'T' logo on the charge port is "Cyber-fied" 😎🤘. I hope this makes it to production @woodhaus2! (Photo credit: @Petersen_Museum) pic.twitter.com/eyYpDjOfsN

It is worth bearing in mind that this placement of the charging port was on the 2019 prototype, the one that was unveiled to the general public at the event. Other prototypes that were seen later had a charging port on the rear fender. At the moment, all the Cybertrucks that have been seen are prototypes, so it remains unknown exactly where the charging port will eventually be placed on mass-production vehicles.
