In respond to this rumor, Tesla China PR officially told us that the Tesla Gigafactory Shanghai is under the normal production schedule adjustment/maintenance, the production line is being commissioned and maintained through this holiday time (Chinese Labor Day Holiday, May 1st - 5th), all aspects of work are proceeding as planned. Rumor about the parts shortages is incorrect.
