Tesla China is expected to deliver more than 100,000 cars in September. Although, at the moment, the information is an unconfirmed rumor, there is every reason to believe that this may correspond with reality.
Tesla's factory in China, Giga Shanghai, has proven to be a red diamond in the automotive industry. The perfect combination of management, staff, and a common commitment to achieving the set goals, has done what has not yet been achieved by any other automaker. The factory produces an impressively large number of cars every month.
Last week, Cui Dongshu, Secretary General of the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA), said that Tesla Giga Shanghai in August 2022 is likely to register sales of about 77,000 vehicles. In his statement, he relied on sales information obtained from various sources. Keep in mind that this is only preliminary data, and exact sales figures will be published later this month and may be lower or higher than Dongshu announced. However, there is every reason to believe that the figure will be very similar.
But, August was not a record month this year. In June, Giga Shanghai delivered almost 79,000 vehicles, setting a new record for Tesla and for the entire industry. Although such numbers are already staggering, this is not the limit. According to @TroyTeslike/Twitter, Tesla China expects to be able to produce and deliver over 100,000 vehicles in September, which is astounding. It should be kept in mind that this is not information confirmed by the company, however the facts indicate that this could be quite real.
The Tesla China team is expected to deliver more than 100K cars this month (September). This will be a new record. The highest month last year was 71K in December. The highest month so far this year was 78K in June.

In July and early August, Giga Shanghai carried out a large-scale modernization of production, after which, production capacity was to be significantly increased. Tesla has not made an announcement about expected production capacity after the upgrade, although the company's CEO, Elon Musk, has repeatedly said that Tesla will show a very strong performance in the second half of the year, closing the gap created by the COVID-19 lockdown in China in the spring.
Various sources reported that now the production capacity of Giga Shanghai is 7,000-8,400 Model 3s per week and 14,000-15,400 Model Ys per week. If these figures are correct, then the factory will be able to produce 90,000 to 102,000 vehicles per month in 30 working days, such as with September. Giga Shanghai has repeatedly surprised us with its ability to produce a huge number of cars, even when such a quantity seems impossible. Therefore, there is every reason to expect that a new record will be reached in September: the delivery of more than 100,000 vehicles.
