Tesla CEO Elon Musk is currently in Germany. According to German media, in addition to his visit to the construction site of Giga Berlin, he is scheduled to meet with Germany’s Minister of Economy.

Musk visited Tuebingen, Germany yesterday to discuss building RNA micro-factories for CureVac and possibly others. At his request, it was an internal visit, so the press was not allowed entry.

Musk is in Berlin today and is reportedly due to meet with Economy Minister of Germany Peter Altmaier and the Minister of Economy, Labor, and Energy of the state of Brandenburg Jörg Steinbach.

Ralph Brinkhaus, leader of the CDU parliamentary group in the Bundestag, did not want to explicitly confirm the visit. But, when asked about a possible meeting, he answered: "That could be", RBB 24 reports.

Among other things, the topic of the meeting could be a discussion of the construction of a building for the production of batteries. Despite some uncertainty in the past, Musk and Steinbach have confirmed that Tesla will manufacture batteries at Giga Berlin.

The Tesla CEO is expected to be on a working trip to Germany for a week.

On Friday, an event is planned on the grounds of Giga Berlin, which will take place in the tent installed there. Though currently, it is unclear whether Musk will join the event.
