Tesla is building a 51-stall V3 Supercharger station with prefabricated components, which will be the largest US location outside of California. The construction of larger supercharger stations indicates a significant expansion of the charging network, which is a logical step due to the rapid increase in the number of the manufacturer's vehicles on the country's roads.

Tesla once again pleases its American customers with positive changes. @MarcoRPTesla/Twitter reported that Tesla is building a new big Supercharger station. The 51-stall V3 charging station will be located in Sutherlin, Oregon, and will be the largest outside of California. It is planned to be placed in a vacant lot on Clover Leaf Loop, right off Interstate 5. Another feature of this Supercharger is that it will be built up of prefabricated units. According to Marco, 12 prefabricated Supercharger Units (PSU) will be used for construction, each with 4 stalls. In addition, 3 stalls will be added.

Using prefabricated units to build the Supercharger station makes it possible to install the entire station in just a few days. This greatly saves installation time and resources, including human labor. While a Supercharger station takes on average a little over 30 days to build, with prefabricated units this can be reduced to around 10 days, although this depends on the number of stalls. For example, a 12-stall Supercharger station was installed at Brooksville, Florida in just eight days.

With the constant increase in the number of Tesla vehicles on US roads, the manufacturer is looking to increase the number of charging stations and stalls at each one to keep up with demand. In addition, the company is preparing to open some of its Superchargers for electric vehicles from other manufacturers, so it is in dire need of rapid expansion of its charging network.
