Tesla constantly strives to improve its products. The company's cars regularly receive improvements that make them more modern and improve performance characteristics. Tesla recently announced an extended range for its 2021 electric vehicles, and now, the EPA has published MPGe (miles per gallon of gas equivalent) ratings showing the 2021 Model 3 is topping the regulator's electric car efficiency chart.
The official EPA range and performance ratings for the Tesla Model 3 are very impressive. In addition to upgrading the range, the company has made the Model 3 more efficient.
The 2021 Tesla Model 3 Long Range AWD can now reach 353 miles range, 31 miles more than the 2020 version. This corresponds to a range increase of 9.6%. At the same time, power consumption is now reduced by 11% compared to the prior version, to 134 MPGe.

The 2021 Tesla Model 3 Performance AWD with 20” wheels now has a range of 315 miles, which equates to an increase of 16 miles, or 5.4%. Power consumption is 113 MPGe, as before.

Thanks to the improvements, Tesla is once again at the top of the rankings with Model 3, Model Y, and Model X.
