Near 9,000 Tesla vehicles manufactured by Giga Shanghai are ready for shipment at the Chinese port. After the modernization, the manufacturer's factory has greatly increased the production performance to take the company to a new level.
A new, huge batch of Tesla vehicles has been spotted by WuWa/YouTube at the Shanghai South Port Terminal, getting ready to ship to overseas markets. He noted that most of the cars were right-hand drive and wrote they were being prepared for shipment to Australia.
According to @SawyerMerritt/Twitter, there were more than 8,800 Tesla vehicles there, making it the largest batch of cars produced at Giga Shanghai ever seen to date. However, we should get used to the fact that in the future, the factory will be preparing especially large batches of cars, as its production capacity continues to grow. After a recent upgrade, Giga Shanghai has an installed capacity of about 93,000 vehicles per month, which equates to about 1.1 million vehicles per year.
Keep in mind that the factory will not be able to immediately start producing such a volume of cars, and it will take several weeks for it to fully ramp up production. However, the Tesla team in China is especially industrious and diligent, so there is no doubt that this will be achieved in the shortest possible time, which again will be the key to the success of the manufacturer on the world stage.
