Elon Musk is the richest man in the world and is worth the same as Bill Gates and Warren Buffet combined. Driven by an important mission—to make the life of mankind multi-planetary—the talented engineer is ready to give every last cent to achieve it.
The ability to properly manage money is an important quality for every person. An important aspect is also how a person seeks to make money. While many of the world's wealthiest people are trying to make money regardless of the method and without having a specific meaningful purpose for their spending, the head of Tesla and SpaceX is significantly different from them.
Possessing a unique mind, at the beginning of his career, Elon Musk was able to develop one-of-a-kind products, the sale of which brought him a solid income. Instead of buying an island for himself and enjoying and relaxing for the rest of his days, he set out to implement more global intentions—to make the human species multi-planetary and create a colony on Mars.
Although his goal resembled the plot of a science fiction film, over the years of tireless work, Musk has achieved significant success and is now testing spaceships developed by his company SpaceX in order to soon make a first flight to the Red Planet. To reach this point, and financially provide R&D, the talented engineer had to simultaneously develop another business that actually improves the quality of life of all mankind. His other company, Tesla, is building electric vehicles that do not pollute the environment, and is creating systems for collecting and storing energy to make people's lives carbon neutral and sustainable.
Improving the quality of life for humanity, Musk made so much money that he entered the list of billionaires. However, this money will not disappear in his hands, but will be invested in us to ensure our survival even after several thousand years, when the Earth may no longer be habitable. Musk is currently the richest man in the world and is worth the same as billionaires Bill Gates and Warren Buffet—combined.
According to the Bloomberg Billionaire Index, the fortune of the head of Tesla and SpaceX as of Friday morning was $230 billion. Gates is in fourth place with $130 billion, while Buffett is number 10, with $102 billion. Both billionaires were previously considered the richest person in the world, although a lot has changed since then. Musk also surpassed Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos for the first time in January 2021 to become the richest man in the world with a fortune of $185 billion. Bezos has held the title since 2017.
Musk has added more than $60 billion to his fortune thanks to the strong dynamics of Tesla shares, as well as the recent sale of SpaceX shares, which valued the company at $100 billion. As such, Bezos is left trailing with a net worth of $191 billion.
