Elon Musk exercised options to purchase 10,500 shares of Tesla. Now, he owns 411,062,076 TSLA shares worth more than $71 billion, at Friday's closing price.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk disclosed yesterday in Form 4 filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) that he acquired 10,500 shares of the company after exercising the stock options on March 8. According to the filing, Musk purchased 5,250 Tesla shares at a conversion price of $2.79. He bought the other 5,250 shares of TSLA at a conversion price of $6.67. Both purchases took place on March 8.
After adding 10,500 Tesla shares, the total number of shares owned by Musk is 411,062,076. They are valued at Friday's closing price at almost $71.3 billion.
