Tesla CEO Elon Musk has arrived in Germany, probably on a business visit. He will visit the factory to assess the construction progress ahead of the Chancellor candidate's visit to Giga Berlin.
Elon Musk's jet landed at the airport near Giga Berlin on August 11 early in the evening, German time. The head of Tesla arrived from Italy, where he spent several days with his family. According to Tagesspiegel, this should be a working visit, during which Musk will personally oversee the technical and technological details of the construction and commissioning of the factory. The last time the head of Tesla visited the construction site was in May.
The visit came a day after Merkel's Christian Democratic Union (CDU) announced that party chairman Armin Laschet will visit the Tesla factory on August 13. It is reported that the visit should include meeting with managers and employees of the factory. Although Laschet's visit was scheduled a few weeks ago and Musk is now in Germany, CDU officials said they were unaware of the possible appearance of the leader of Tesla at the meeting. However, as head of the company, Musk is best placed to meet the candidate for Chancellor and tell him about the company's plans for the German and European markets.
Several politicians in Brandenburg and Germany are happy about Tesla's arrival and support the manufacturer. However, the company has faced delays in its final approval process, which underscores the country's bureaucratic problem and unfortunately makes the country unattractive to investors. Germany's next chancellor will be forced to accelerate the pace of technological advancement so that the country can remain competitive in the digital age. Supporting Tesla's development is a very important step for this.
