Mark Cuban believes that Dogecoin is more useful than Cardano, which has not had a significant impact since the launch of smart contracts. The meme coin will easily surpass Cardano when it becomes a platform for applications.
In a recent interview with the YouTube channel AltcoinDaily (via U.Today), Mark Cuban said he still believes that Dogecoin, the largest meme-cryptocurrency, has more applications than Cardano. “The opportunity for Cardano is greater until Doge really becomes a platform for applications,” he said.
Cuban has criticized Cardano, claiming that people in Africa are not using the blockchain as much as they expected to. He noted that the rival of Ethereum has had a very little impact despite the launch of smart contracts almost a year ago. This is not the first time that Cuban has criticized Cardano. Last May, he tweeted that he was unaware of any potential use cases for the popular proof-of-stake blockchain.
Speaking about the upcoming Merge upgrade, Cuban said that Ethereum's transition to Proof-of-Stake raises many doubts. He is convinced that the success of the blockchain will largely depend on whether more applications can be adopted.
