Apple Fully Resumes Advertising on Twitter, Says Elon Musk

Apple has fully resumed advertising on Twitter, Elon Musk said. The move was after the Twitter owner and Tim Cook met and resolved any misunderstandings.

Elon Musk said during a Twitter Spaces conversation on Saturday that Apple has “fully resumed” advertising on the platform. He added that the technology company is the largest advertiser on the social media network. Musk joined the Twitter Space, which was listened to by nearly 100,000 accounts, and spoke from his jet using the internet connection provided by his SpaceX Starlink.

The tech company's full recovery of advertising on the social media platform comes as another positive piece of news after things began to escalate between the companies late last month over Apple's alleged threat to remove Twitter from its Apple Store. In addition, Apple did basically almost stop advertising on Twitter, which did not bode well for the relationship between the companies.

However, on November 30, Musk met with Cook, at the manufacturer's headquarters in Cupertino, California, which was a positive signal in light of growing tensions between the companies. The new owner of the social media platform posted a tweet with a video of a pond on Apple property, saying that Cook had given him a tour of the area. Although nothing else was written, it became clear that the company's executives had a conversation in which they discussed the relationship between their companies. Musk made a live update to keep everyone informed of the situation without hiding anything.

Hours after the meeting, in a follow-up tweet, Musk reported that it went well. Both executives had a good conversation, and among other things, “resolved the misunderstanding about Twitter potentially being removed from the App Store.” Musk also said that Cook made it clear that Apple had never thought about doing so.
